So Long, Beaba Babycook!

You were lovely and so…easy to work with. With that signature click you showed me the way to the perfect puree:  peas with mint, sweet potato with apple and chicken, banana and avocado, beef and apple, green beans and potatoes, turkey and apricot.  And so much more.

But as the cliche goes, all good things must come to an end.

I knew it was almost over when you botched that last batch of apples. Your blade was coming loose and you left lumps in Mason’s applesauce. I couldn’t fix you and nor could Chris. When the end came, today over turkey and sweet potatoes, it was swift and final. Your blade just refused to hang on.

Of course, I’ll still puree. My babe is hooked on the fresh stuff and my blender and saucepan have agreed to take on your old role. True, they’re messy, much messier than you ever were. And they’re not as sleek and stylish–they don’t have your European roots. But they still get the job done and so now our trio will go on.

Adios, my friend. We had fun while it lasted. Thank you for everything.

  1. Call the company and tell them about the blade issue! I called them about an issue I had with the bowl, and they were great. Wonderful customer service- Kudos to them as they shipped me out a new one immediately! Although there are other methods to make the goods, I would be sad not to use my Beaba Babycook.

  3. I work with SCI, the distributor of Beaba products in the US. Please call us at 1-866-782-6222. Your Babycook is likely still under warranty and if that’s the case, we can send you a new blade.
